The Parker by Hypnotic

Perhaps you have seen these Brian Atwood Loca Studded Pumps (picture for Net-A-Porter) in the Sex in the City 2 movie. Or maybe you are a member of Shoe Dazzle and have seen a verison of these shoes on their site like me.

Well I was too late to get this pumps for Shoe Dazzle so I went on the hunt. And yes...I found them and now own a verison of these oh so cute shoes.

Okay, so usually I look up a company before I order anything. But sometimes I forget, this was the case here. I was looking for The Parker by Hypnotic. It's a very cute shoe that can be seen on the feet of many celebrities. The celebrity factor is not why I wanted the shoes. If you have read my previous posts you will see I am a member of Just Fabulous and Shoe Dazzle. On the main page of Shoe Dazzle there is this cute pair or turquoise studded heels. I didn't even know the name of them but after some searching I found similar pairs. This is wear amiclubwear.com comes into play. They had a pair marked down to $16. In my haste to get the shoes I didn't search the site.

It turns out that there are many complaints against this company. That is the first red flag. When I order my shoes (I got 5 pairs) I put in the shipping code but it didn't take. I didn't notice this until after I made my purchase. I immediately called the customer service number and after waiting for 10 minutes was told they could not help me and they were unable to cancel the order. Excuse me! The site says it can cancel and modify orders until 2pm pacific time. Now granted I made my order a little after 2pm pacific time but I called within minutes so it couldn't have been processed yet. That was a flat out lie. Red flag number 2. After reading the policy I called back and asked for a supervisor but the customer service woman would not transfer me. Instead she said she would sent my request to the refund department (they don't have their own number) and they would email me back but there's not guarantee that I will get my money back. Any decent company would honor a code if you call within minutes of your order the fact that they make you jump through hoops is red flag number 3.

After reading so many comments about customers not being refunded money, not having their order shipped, or having parts of their order shipped with items missing and no refund for those missing items as made me realize that I need to pay better attention to where I am ordering from. Hopefully, I will get my refund for the shipping, all of my items and be on my way. Regardless, I will not order from this site again. The fact that the customer service rep lied to me is enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth. There are people who have said they haven't had any problems. Some of them I think work for the company but some I do think are legit. If you order from this site just be aware that if there are issues that arises with your order you many not get a satisfactory response back.

Update!

I received all of my shoes on time. Did not receive my shipping refund but I reeally didn't think that I would. I am not sure that I will order from this company again. There are just too many complaints against them. As well as the customer service rep telling me a straight out lie. If you use this company just make sure you check everything before actually paying. Any mistakes with this company and your money is as good as gone!

Check my previous post here to find out how Just Fabulous works and to sign up. I got my second handbag called Super Model on Wednesday August 11th. I must say that I am very happy with it. None of the handbags are real leather just to let you guys know. The bag is a sudtle rose pink and the material is made to look like crinkled leather. I just love the texture. It was a total surprise when I took it out of the box. It is a girly bag buy hey I'm in to girly right now.

So it has one big flower on the front with two tassles coming from it. The metal is silvertone. There's a zippered back pocket. Inside there is two open pockets on one side, a zipper pocket on the other side, and dividing the bag into two is another zipper compartment. Of course the bag is huge. And I just love it. I'm not sure what my next bag will be but there will be another bag purchased.

If you have been away from Avon for a while you may not know that Avon has a, let’s say, second division called mark. mark is geared toward a younger crowd, they products are not so trendy that it puts an age limit on wearing them. It does not carry the wide range of products as the main company, Avon. mark sells skincare, cosmetics, clothing, and accessories.

I love handbags. I love BIG handbags. The Gather Around Bag caught my eye because of the color, royal blue with a purple lining. I love purple also; it’s my favorite color. So of course I bought it. And I like it. Do you hear the but coming? Well you would be right. The color of the bag is great. The size of the bag is great. Here are the specs: it is 15” (H)[81/2” handle drop], 181/8”(L), 41/8” (W). The stitching is frayed in some areas, don’t like that. There is a zippered pocket and two open pockets inside the bag. Two weeks into the bag the stitching on the two open pockets came undone. I can sew so of course I fixed the issue but that’s beside the point. Stitching should not unravel so early into using the bag.

I do think that if you like the bag you should get it. I have gotten many compliments on it. However, I would not pay full price for the Gather Around Bag. If you just have to have it then go for it. But if you can take the chance wait to see if it goes on sale and try to purchase it then. I am an independent Avon sale rep. This review is my honest opinion. On another note, I wanted the I'm No Slouch Bag but after getting the Gather Around Bag and seeing the stitching. I will wait for it to go on sale. If it does and I get it and do a review for it. That's it for now.

Just Fabulous (justfab.com) Anthology bag

See my previous post explaining what Just Fabulous is and how it works. In the previous post I stated that the item I wanted was sold out in the color I wanted. So I did call customer service and sure enough the color was indeed sold out. Here is something you should know. Items do get returned and will be available on the first of the month.

So this is what I would do. If you love an item and would buy it even if it's not available in your 1st choice color. I would go ahead and buy it. That way you have the item regardless. Then when the 1st of the month rolls around I would call customer service first thing and see if they have any returns in your 1st choice color. If they do then I would exchange the items.

Now it is important to note that I have not done this yet so I don't know excatly how it would work. Would you would have to purchase the item or will they would hold it for you? I do not know. So to be safe I would assume you would have to purchase the item to make sure no one else gets it and the item you are returning could be exchange for something else in your boutique or for a credit.

Now on to the good stuff. The item I wanted was Anthology in pink. It was sold out in the pink. It is such a girly bag that the pink definitely fit it. But I love the bag so I order it in the black. I put the order in late July 26th and it is to be delivered on August 7th. I don't know about you but to me 2 weeks is a long time for delivery within the states. They use FedEx SmartPost. Apparently, the item is shipped with FedEx and then the item is then given to the local post office to deliver. Ummm okay. So if you plan on using your bag right away keep in my that this delivery method may be used in your area as well.

***Update - I received my bag on August 5th. I was a bit disappointed with the packaging. I expected the bag to come in a pretty box like the shoes. Just Fab really should think about doing that. The box would be useful for storage. Oh well. It was wrapped in purple paper. I must say the bag is huge. The roses did not look the way I expected, the center just stops. The are a couple of frayed stitches but all in all I am very happy with the bag. I already order another bag scheduled to be delivered next week so look out for that review.
