Fashion Inspiration: Nightgowns

I am not sure if this is a dress but it makes me thinking of a nightgown. I think that I will use this pic as inspiration to sew a nightgown that looks similar minus the pearl trimming.

Fashion Inspiration: Hooded Poncho

I love everything about this picture. I won't wear the shoes as I am not a fan of the pointed toe. I have to say that my most fav things is the outerwear. The oversize hood is doing it for me! /The gloves are and purse are close seconds.

Melrose Glam Vivienne Scarf

I am longing for scarves lately. I have not one non-winter scarf. Hey, don't judge me. Right now, I have struggling with my day to day responsibilities. However, as soon as things work out, I will be back on the fashion binge. Until then, it's window shopping.

I'm liking the colors in the above picture. It can go with so many outfits. You can dress it up or dress it down. It is a girlie piece with the bright pink but still can be sophisticate if worn with neutrals.

Lace Sheets Part One

I am in love with lace. Romance is the first thing that comes to mind when I think about the word lace. I haven't gotten around to purchasing any lace sheets yet but it's only a matter of time. Like I have said before, I think most things can work in any style as long as there is continuity. Lace can work in most styles however, if you are going for a masculine look then lace is a no-no. Unfortunately, one hardly ever see lace in a setting other than a feminine one. So in part 2 I will post different ways to rock those lace sheets. In the meantime

Hudson Bay

Hudson Bay Blankets are iconic. I remember that my family had this blanket forever. However, we move so much that it got lost in the shuffle. Which is ok because it was quite beat up from rough daily use.

I love the picture. It makes me want to curl up under the blanket with a book and a mug of hot chocolate. Or cuddle up with someone special and spend a nice romantic winter night perhaps by candlight and in a perfect setting a crackling fire. Nice set up huh? I think once I get around to buying a house I may recreate this look. Even the wood paneling.

The blankets vary in price depending on the website you go to but from what I have seen it ranges from $250 - 500. This also depends on the size of the blanket. The throws and shams range between $99 -150.

In the corner picture the blanket shown has a pink stripe. It is a lighter and more feminie look. It would still work in the winter but obviously lends it self to spring.

This picture is definitely decorating inspiration for me. I think the bones of the room would lend itself to many different designs. I love decorating by mood so it is important to me be able to switch out bedding and some accessories to acheive a different look. So does this picture make you want to revamp your room?
